Police investigate after man discovered looking into residence

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a suspicious circumstance that occurred in Dartmouth on the weekend.

On July 16 at approximately 5 a.m. a man was seen looking in the window of a residence in the 0-100 block of Woodland Avenue. When the resident approached the window, he fled to vehicle that was waiting nearby and the vehicle then fled the area.

The suspect is described as stocky and wearing a shiny baseball hat. The vehicle is described as a newer model red Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Police encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious circumstances in their neighbourhood to contact police.

Anyone with information in relation to the suspect, the incident or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or by using the P3 Tips app.
