Police investigate after shot fired at home

Halifax District RCMP responded to a complaint at 2:42 a.m. on Sunday morning, after receiving a 911 call of a home being shot at.

Five people, including a young child, were not injured after someone fired a single gunshot at the window of a home on Cain St. in North Preston. As a result, the window and interior of the home was damaged.

The investigation is ongoing, being led by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit.
