Police Investigate a Weapons Call (Shooting) – Halifax

At 8:25 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a male with a firearm in 6900 block of Mumford Road Halifax.​ Witnesses reported a male had just pulled a gun on another male.​ Halifax Shopping Centre Security located the male and arrested the male, holding him for police.

Upon Police arrival, the suspect (22 yrs), was arrested and confirmed to be in possession of a handgun Pellet Gun.​ Police learned the suspect was in an argument with occupants of a pickup truck and pulled out a Pellet gun, and fireds at the truck, damaging the rear window.​ No one was injured.

The suspect (22 yrs) from Halifax, is held for court and will be facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Weapons for a Dangerous Purpose.
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon
  • Mischief/Property Damage
  • Breach Probation

Police Investigate a Weapons Call (Shooting) – Dartmouth

At 2:00 a.m. 27 July, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a group of people fighting outside Dave Doolittle’s, 90 Tacoma Drive Dartmouth.​ While on route callers reported hearing gun shots outside the same location.​

Multiple officers attended and located evidence confirming a gun was fired.​ Patrol officers along with a Police Service Dog conducted a through search of the area, but were not able to locate any victims or suspects.​ ​
