(Update) Police Investigate Assault Call – Halifax

UPDATE – Suspect Arrested​
Officers continued searching for the suspect and​ the investigation led to a second residence in the 3300 Block of Romans Avenue Halifax.​ At 11:55 p.m., just as officers obtained another Warrant to enter the second residence, the suspect surrendered to police without incident.
The suspect is facing charges of Assault,​ Uttering Threats and Breach of Conditions charges and is held for court in the morning.

Update: Officers have executed the Warrant for the residence and have cleared the residence.​ ​ Police are still searching for the suspect described as:

Suspect – Light complextion, black male, 40-45 yrs, 6’2, thin build, bald, short facial hair. Wearing: Dark jacket, pants and hat.

Investigators with Patrol are conducting the investigation, which is ongoing.

Police Investigate Assault Call – Halifax

At 12:08 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to an Assault Call in Halifax.​ Officers have been searching for the suspect and around 2:00 p.m., the investigation led to officers a residence in the 3300 Block of Romans Avenue Halifax.​ Officers have secured the residence while a Warrant is obtained to enter the residence.​ Multiple officers, including the Emergency Response have responded and are currently on scene.​ There is no concern for the public safety.

Investigators with Patrol are conducting the investigation, which is ongoing. and will be obtaining a Search Warrant for the residence.
