Update:

Police Investigate Vehicle Collision – Fatality

At 5:43 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a Vehicle Collision, involving three vehicles and injuries at the intersection of Connaught Avenue and Bayers Road Halifax.​

Update: The collision involves three vehicles and multiple injuries.​ Shortly after 6:50 p.m., a 40 year old male from Halifax, the driver of one of the vehicles involved was pronounced deceased at the hospital.​ The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.​ It is too early know the cause of the collision,​ but, speed is believed to be a factor.

Investigators from Patrol and the Accident Investigation Section are on scene and conducting the investigation, which is ongoing.

Traffic Blocked: Bayers Road at Connaught Avenue, is blocked to vehicle traffic in both directions and will remain closed for an extended period.
