Police Investigate Assault & Property Damage Call on Gaston Road Dartmouth

Around 9:45 p.m. 25 November, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a male that damaged a window in a residence in the 30 block of Gaston Road, Dartmouth. The male then assaulted a female and left the area on foot. Officers located the male near a vehicle on Gaston Road.

The male resisted arrest and officers used a Conducted Energy Weapon (also known as a Taser), to gain compliance and complete the arrest. A 51-year-old male was arrested and will be held for court for Assault and Mischief (Property Damage) charges. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
