Police investigate attempted armed robbery, Eastern Passage, N.S.

Police are currently investigating an armed attempted robbery that occurred at the Tim Horton's on Main Rd., Eastern Passage last night. At approximately 8:40 p.m., one male entered the Tim Horton's.

Police are currently investigating an armed attempted robbery that occurred at the Tim Horton’s on Main Rd., Eastern Passage last night.

At approximately 8:40 p.m., one male entered the Tim Horton’s.

The male approached the cashier, stated he had a knife and demanded money. Staff immediately contacted police and Cole Harbour RCMP members responded to the scene within minutes and arrested the suspect who still inside the restaurant. When the suspect was searched, a knife was recovered. There were no injuries and no cash was taken.

A 15-year-old Middle Sackville male is currently facing charges of Armed Robbery and Possession of a Weapon. He has been released from police custody and will appear in youth court at a later date.

The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate.
