Police are investigating a break and enter with robbery in Cole Harbour.
Last evening, 9:00 p.m., RCMP received a call from a residence on Taranakyi Drive that a robbery had occurred.
Police arrived and were advised that when the female opened her door she saw a male wearing a mask. She immediately shut the door, but the suspect kicked it in and two men entered the house. The suspect wearing the mask was also carrying a firearm. The suspects demanded cash and left the residence with some jewelry and a television. When the victim screamed, she was assaulted by one of the suspects as they left. Police later located the television on a pathway behind the residence.
The RCMP/HRP Integrated GIS continues to investigate. Police do not believe this is a random incident.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1: Light skinned black male, late teens to early 20’s in age, 6ft, 130-150lbs wearing red hoodie, dark jeans and a Freddy Kruger mask. Suspect had a tattoo on left side of neck – tribal design, round with lettering in the middle.
Suspect #2: Light skinned black male, late teens to early 20’s in age, 6ft, 160-180lbs wearing grey hoodie with green zipper, dark jeans. Suspect was not wearing a mask and was carrying a 2×4.
