Police investigate Eastern Passage shooting, Eastern Passage, N.S.

Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place earlier this morning in Eastern Passage.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., RCMP and HRP responded to a complaint of a man who reported being shot at his residence on Main Road.

Preliminary investigation determined that a 47-year-old male was home when three unidentified males entered his home. The victim sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing with the investigation. At this time, police do not believe this was a random act.

Police are asking anyone with information on this shooting to come forward to their local RCMP detachment, Halifax Regional Police or by contacting the Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 -$2000.
