At approximately 10:00pm officers responded to a report of an injured male near 2200 block of Maitland Street in Halifax. The 40-year-old male was found laying on the ground unconscious with injuries sustained to his head and face. EHS attended and transported the male to hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

A witness observed a male walking away from the injured male towards Gottingen Street on Cornwallis. This male is described as a white male, 5’10” tall wearing a grey hoodie. Police would like to identify speak with this individual.
