On August 28 at approximately 6:35 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery that occurred at Sobeys, located at 955 Bedford Highway in Bedford. It was reported that a man entered the store, approached multiple cashiers, threatened them with a handgun and demanded money.
The suspect then fled on foot with a quantity of money. Officers searched the area for the suspect but did not locate him. There were no reported physical injuries.
The suspect is described as a white man, medium build, wearing a grey zip up hoodie, dark pants, blue sneakers with white soles, a black mask and black sunglasses.
The investigation is ongoing.
