Driver injured after crash involving tractor-trailer

Queens District RCMP is investigating a serious crash that occurred in Buckfield.

On January 7, 2024, at approximately 10:52 a.m., Queens District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 210. Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP officers learned that a semi-tractor trailer was travelling Westbound on the highway when it rolled over at the intersection of Labelle Rd., knocking out a power pole causing power outages in the area.

The driver and lone occupant of the semi-tractor trailer, a 66-year-old Chester Grant man had to be extricated from the vehicle that suffered extensive damage. The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by the Lifeflight mobile critical care unit.

Hwy. 210 was closed for several hours but has since been reopened.
