Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred yesterday in North Preston.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a complaint of an adult male who was shot while mowing a lawn on Willis Lane by an occupant of a passing vehicle. The victim was transported to hospital with injuries later determined to be non-life threatening.
The investigation is ongoing and being led by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit, and officers from Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Police.
