Just before 5 a.m. this morning, Police responded to a complaint that a vehicle had been shot at while driving on Cain Street.
The driver, a 22-year-old man from North Preston, was the lone occupant of the vehicle when it was shot at by an occupant of a passing vehicle. The man was not injured. The suspect vehicle, a Saturn Ion, left the scene prior to Police arrival, but was located a short time later parked on a street in Dartmouth. It has been seized by Police.
The investigation is ongoing and being led by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit and officers from Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Police.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP or Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
