Police investigate shots fired, Halifax, N.S.

The Integrated HRP/RCMP GIS Unit is investigating after shots were fired in North Preston.

At 9:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a call of shots fired at a residence on Cain Street.

Investigation revealed that a witness had heard several shots and observed a black SUV flee the scene. Noone was injured. Police do not believe the matter is random.

Early this morning 12:55 a.m., officers arrested an adult male suspect and he is currently in police custody. Another male youth was arrested in Cole Harbour. Police are also looking for the SUV and other suspects.

The matter remains under investigation.
