(Updated) Police investigate weapon and assault complaint – Dartmouth

Weapons Complaint

At approx. 12:42am a male entered Roberts Pizza, 364 Windmill Rd, Dartmouth with a firearm. The suspect made comments looking for another male who was not in the business.

There was an altercation with a staff member and the suspect left the business. The staff member received a minor injury and was treated by EHS at the scene.

Shortly after, a 29 year old male was arrested in the 300 block of Windmill Rd for Weapons offences and assault. At this time the investigation is ongoing.

Update

The 29-year-old​ man is facing charges of assault, assault with a weapon, using an imitation firearm during the commission of an offence, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and carrying a concealed weapon. He remains in custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Tuesday.
