RCMP investigates fatal collision

Just after 11:30 a.m. this morning, Chester RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Hwy 3 in Hubbards.

Preliminary investigation has determined one vehicle crossed the centre line and collided with the other vehicle. One driver, a 70-year-old man from Blandford, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other driver, a 56-year-old woman from Bedford, was transported to hospital with minor injuries.​ There were no passengers in either vehicle.

A short section of Hwy 3 was closed for several hours. The area was re-opened to traffic near 2:30​ p.m.
