Police investigate a robbery at an ATM in Dartmouth

On Saturday May 18, 2019 at approximately 1:23 p.m. police attended the Scotia Bank at 93 Portland St. in Dartmouth for a report of a robbery at the ATM.​ The female victim was getting money from the ATM when she was approached by a female suspect who asked for money for a taxi.​ The female victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the female suspect then demanded more money.​ The female suspect then began pushing the victim.​ The female suspect also indicated there was a weapon in a car parked outside the bank.​

No weapons were seen by the victim.

The female then fled the bank with a male driver in a white older model vehicle.

The female suspect was described as a black female in her late 20’s, small build and around 5’4” tall, appeared to be pregnant wearing a black zip up hoodie with multi-colour patterned tights.​ The male driver was described as a male in his 20’s wearing a hoodie with the hood up.

The female victim did not report any injuries.
