Police investigating after man hit by Transit bus

Last night, Halifax Regional Police responded to a serious incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. Around 7:35 p.m., officers were called to South and Robie streets following reports of an injured pedestrian.

A Halifax Transit bus, making a right turn onto Robie Street from South Street, hit a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the collision.
