Police investigating after pedestrian struck by two vehicles

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred in Eastern Passage.

This morning, at approximately 6:30 a.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, fire and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Main Rd. RCMP officers learned that a pedestrian was crossing the roadway when they were initially struck by a GMC Sierra travelling north and then by a Honda Civic travelling south.

The pedestrian, a 24-year-old Dartmouth woman, suffered life threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital by EHS. 

The driver of the GMC, a 43-year-old Eastern Passage man, did not suffer physical injuries.

The occupants of the Honda, a 23-year-old Cole Harbour Man and a 29-year-old Dartmouth woman, did not suffer physical injuries.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Main Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
