Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Saturday night in Halifax.
At approximately 10:20 p.m., officers were in the area of Jennings and Larch streets when they were approached by a 19-year-old man who had injuries consistent with having been stabbed. Due to safety concerns, paramedics were unable to enter the area to treat the victim. Given concerns regarding the man’s injuries and the close proximity of the hospital, officers made the decision to transport the man to hospital in a police vehicle. The man was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
There is no suspect description at this time.
Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the incident.
