Police investigating suspicious circumstance

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who approached a female youth today in Bedford.

At approximately noon, a man in a silver car approached a 16-year-old girl who was walking in the area of Basinview Drive and Bedford Hills Road in Bedford. The man, whom the girl didn’t recognize, asked her if she would like a drive home. She refused and continued walking and the man drove away. The girl made her way home and immediately reported the incident to her parent. She was not physically injured.

The man is described as a white male, approximately 19-years-old. The vehicle was a silver, newer model, four door car.

Police are aware of another incident, previously released, that occurred on January 23 in the same vicinity and are looking at the possibility that the two incidents may be connected.

Officers would like to speak to this man about this incident and are asking the man or anyone who has information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
