Police lay charges in Treyvhon Bradshaw homicide

Police have charged a man in relation to the homicide of Treyvhon Bradshaw that occurred earlier this year in Halifax.

On March 18 at approximately 2:35 a.m., police responded to a weapons call in the 2100 block of Gottingen Street in Halifax. Upon arriving on scene, officers located Treyvhon Alrick Bradshaw, 25, who had been shot. Treyvhon was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.   

Yesterday, investigators arrested Makayle Larry James Skinner, 25, in Halifax. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face the charge of first-degree murder.

Police are aware that there were people in the area at the time of Treyvhon’s murder who have information on what occurred. We are asking them to do the right thing and come forward to police with what they know. Anyone with information on Treyvhon’s murder or video from the area is asked to contact police at 902-490-5020.
