Police Make Arrests in Sackville High Stabbing

Police have made several arrests following an investigation into a stabbing incident at Sackville High last week.

Two male youths and one male adult have been arrested and are facing a variety of charges, including Assault, Causing a Disturbance, and Uttering Threats. They will appear in court at a later date.

A 15-year-old male youth from Lower Sackville has been charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose for his part in the incident. He was arrested on Sunday night without incident and appeared in court yesterday. He has been released on conditions, and is set to return to court on May 19 at 1:30 p.m. in Halifax Provincial Court.

These arrests and charges are following an incident April 22 when a 19-year-old man was stabbed following an incident on a school bus outside Sackville High in Lower Sackville. The victim received serious injuries after being stabbed with a knife.

The investigation is continuing and police expect to lay more charges in this matter.
