Police need help in gas station theft

Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who is believed to be responsible for theft at a gas station in Bedford.

On September 8 at about 1:15 p.m., police responded to the Petro-Canada at 1611 Bedford Highway where it was alleged that a man (pictured) entered the store and stole a bank deposit from the office.

Staff noticed the money missing and contacted police. The suspect is described as a white male, 50 to 60 years of age. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue dress shirt and golf hat.

Anyone recognizing the man in the photos or with information in relation to this incident is asked to call Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
