Police respond to a weapon complaint in Halifax

At 1:50 a.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a Weapons Call in the 3000 block of Westerwald Street Halifax, for reports of a male inside a residence with a knife. Upon officers arrival no one in in possession of a knife and no one was injured. However, officers did locate a unloaded firearm (rifle). A 42 year-old-male from Halifax was arrested for unsafe storage of a firearm and breach of conditions. The male will be held for court.
