Police Seek Help After Man Beaten With a Pipe – Cole Harbour

Police are requesting help from the public after a man was beaten with a pipe by a stranger in Cole Harbour last night.

Just before 10 p.m. a 36-year-old Cole Harbour man was walking on Ashley Dr when he was approached by another man who asked him for a ‘light’. As he was looking in his pocket for his lighter he was struck in the face with a metal bar by the other man. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect continued to strike him with the bar. The victim kicked at the suspect, who then left the area on foot.

The victim sustained injuries and was transported via EHS to Dartmouth General Hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’10”, about 25 years old, with blondish hair.
