Police seek public assistance to find robbery suspect

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery with a weapon that occurred last month in Halifax.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. on September 29, officers responded to a report of a robbery at 2327 Brunswick Street. A man approached a 55-year-old woman in a hallway of the building, tried to take her purse, punched her in the face and stabbed her in the hand with what she believed was a needle. The suspect fled with the victim’s purse down the stairwell of the building. The victim was assessed and treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man approximately 30-years-old, 5’10”, thin build with a goatee and black tattoos on his knuckles. At the time of the incident he was wearing a blue zip up hoodie, blue jeans and a baseball cap worn backwards.
