Police seize cocaine and charge 3 suspects

October 18, 2011, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . The Halifax District RCMP/HRP Integrated Drug Unit has charged three men following drug searches in Lower Sackville and Halifax.
 
On October 17, 2011, members of the Integrated Drug Unit were involved in a drug investigation targeting suspects trafficking in cocaine in Lower Sackville.  Police observed a drug transaction take place in Dartmouth.  The suspects were arrested and large quantity of powdered cocaine was seized.  Subsequently, police executed a search warrant on a residence on Florence Place Court in Lower Sackville.  Police seized a quantity of cocaine, scales and a shotgun.  Police also searched an apartment on Brunswick Street in Halifax.
 
These searches resulted in further evidence being seized to charge three adult males with Sec 5(1) CDSA Trafficking in Cocaine, Sec. 5(2) CDSA Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.  All three appeared in Dartmouth Provincial court this morning.
 
The men are:
 
Terrence Lucas , 27, of Lower Sackville
 
Chris Penny, 31 of Lower Sackville
 
Justin Corbett, 34, of Dartmouth
