Provincial: RCMP seize crack cocaine at train station

May 15, 2012, Truro, Nova Scotia . . . Members of the RCMP Northeast Nova Drug Section have seized a significant amount of cocaine and arrested a 64-year-old woman.
 
On the afternoon of May 14th, around 4:00 p.m., RCMP officers seized approximately 242 grams of crack cocaine at a train station in Truro. 
 
Sixty-four-year-old Brenda Joyce Melnick from Sydney, Nova Scotia was arrested without incident and charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. She is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court today. The investigation is continuing.
