Road Construction – Oxford Street
Location: Oxford Street, at the intersection with North Street as well as Oxford Street, at the intersection with Chebucto Road.
Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Work Details: This work is for emergency Nova Scotia Power repairs to restore power at Oxford School.
Traffic Impact: Traffic signals at the above intersections will be turned off and stop and go traffic will be in place. Oxford Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction through these intersections.
Pedestrian Impact: The sidewalks will be closed around the work site on the north side of North Street between Dublin Street and Oxford Street, as well as on the east side of Oxford Street between Seaforth Street and North Street.
Construction during COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures. However, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks, which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to maintain at least two metres of physical distancing.
