Water Service & Traffic Advisory – 174 Main Street near Tacoma Drive Dartmouth – Water Main Repair
(Thu, Dec 28, 2023) Halifax Water crews will be on-site tomorrow, Friday, Dec 29, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, undertaking an emergency water main repair at 174 Main Street in Dartmouth. Water service will be temporarily shut down for customers close to this area on parts of Main Street and on Tacoma Drive. there is no estimate of service restoration time. Main Street will be limited to a single outbound lane, and the sidewalk on that side will also be closed. The adjacent offramp to Tacoma Drive will also be closed. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
