Friday, Dec 29, 2023 – Halifax Water crews are on-site for an emergency water main repair on Spence Drive near Brookfield Avenue in Cole Harbour. Water service will be temporarily shut down in this area — there is no current estimate of time for service restoration. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the work zone, and personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until it is clear.
