Public assistance requested in stolen trailer investigation

Colchester District RCMP is asking for help from the public to identify a person of interest following the theft of a utility trailer from a business in Lower Truro. At 1 a.m. on November 8, a man cut the chain on the outdoor storage yard of the business and stole the trailer. It was wheeled by hand from the lot and hooked up to a waiting vehicle in a nearby parking lot. The trailer is a galvanized 4 x 6 ‘Stirling’ open-rail trailer, valued at just under $1000.00.

Anyone who has information about this incident or can identify this person is asked to call Colchester District RCMP at 902-896-5000, or should you wish to remain anonymous, you can also contact Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or submit tips by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award.
