Video: Public Gardens Statue Damaged

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a report of property damage that occurred at the historic Public Gardens, located in the heart of Halifax.

 
Overnight on March 8-9, an unknown person(s) unlawfully entered the park and damaged an eight foot statue that has been inside the park for over 100 years.  The statue was of a Roman Goddess and was located south of the gardens’ gazebo.
 
Crimes like this are senseless. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 490-5016.
