Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Balcomes Drive area – Water Main Repair
(April 4, 2022) Halifax Water crews are on-site undertaking an emergency water main repair on Balcomes Drive – St. Margaret’s Bay Road and the Chocolate Lake area. Water service will be temporarily shut down in the surrounding area, including Ferndale Drive. There is no estimate of service restoration time.
Balcomes Drive is currently closed to traffic between civic addresses 9 to 19, so crews can safely complete this work.
Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
