Puppetbrush Officially Launches

Puppetbrush has officially launched and is beginning to help Halifax businesses grow their exposure—all while in the grips of a global pandemic.

Kazi Masum, owner and founder of Puppetbrush, says because of the COVID-19 pandemic, greater amounts of businesses are focusing their attention on having a strong online presence. He says Puppetbrush’s skills will help big and small companies strengthen their virtual foot traffic.

Based out of Halifax, Puppetbrush specializes in marketing, search engine optimization and web design. Masum says businesses are discovering the importance of having a strong online platform as people move towards the convenience and safety shopping online can bring.

“This is the perfect time to use our skills and help businesses around us,” Masum said. “It’s better to get online clients than have people walk into their store during this time.”

Their goal is to get companies noticed and to a search engine’s front page when potential clients look for trending keywords.

“My job is to help you dominate your competition online,” Masum said. “We want to get our clients front and centre.”

Having just opened their virtual doors in May, they’ve already helped create stronger online marketing for local companies, like 902 Auto Sales.

Masum, 25, said there are three additional members on the Puppetbrush team: his wife, Fatema Promi, friend, Numayer Shuvo and cousin, Kazi Fahim Sharar. Kazi and Numayer left their stable jobs at Web.com to start their own small business. Being able to work for themselves was a risk they all wanted to take.

“We all quit our jobs because we wanted to provide high quality products and services to our clients,” the NSCAD grad said. “We learned a lot from our previous experience about the industry and were then able to build a great design team.”

Puppetbrush hopes to support their clients and make suggestions on how to best market their business. They work with clients to find the best web design style to put their best foot forward.

“Someone starting off might not know how to market their brand online,” Masum said. “If you’re putting up a store, you would want to make sure it looks nice. Your website needs to portray that so that Google can get you more traffic. Your website represents what you are as a business. ”

With economic uncertainty, Masum says they want to be an affordable service. They believe they can provide better products while still remaining inexpensive for their clients.

“Our prices for web development are very low compared to others. We have seen how people don’t always get their money’s worth in terms of marketing. We are here to change that and provide the services for business owners. We want to make it easier for anyone to stand out in the Google crowd.”

As Puppetbrush gains more clients, Masum hopes to grow Puppetbrush’s team and have offices across Canada to make their services accessible. They want to share their passion for marketing with businesses throughout the country.
