RCMP are currently on scene of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 103 near Mahone Bay.

Around 6:00 p.m., RCMP responded to a two car collision between Exits 10 and 11.

A car travelling westbound crashed head on with another car. The male driver will be airlifted to hospital in serious condition. The female driver of the second vehicle has also been transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

A RCMP traffic analyst has been called in to assist investigators. This portion of the highway will be closed until further notice. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
