RCMP arrest Amherst area man for Luring a Child, Amherst, N.S.

The provincial RCMP Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit have arrested an Amherst area man for Luring a Child. A search warrant was executed on the morning of Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 on a residence in the Amherst area by members of the provincial RCMP ICE Unit, RCMP Technological Crime Unit, Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Unit, and Amherst RCMP.

The provincial RCMP Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit have arrested an Amherst area man for Luring a Child.

A search warrant was executed on the morning of Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 on a residence in the Amherst area by members of the provincial RCMP ICE Unit, RCMP Technological Crime Unit, Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Unit, and Amherst RCMP.

As a result, police seized two computers and thumb drives from the residence and a 37-year-old male from Cumberland County was arrested for Luring a Child.

He was later released from police custody and is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Amherst Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on July 28th, 2014.
