RCMP arrests driver of tractor trailer following collision

 Bridgew­ater, Nova Scotia 

 At 12:20 a.m. today, Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a 911 call reporting a collision involving a tractor trailer that was in the ditch near Exit 13 on Hig­hway 103. RCMP offic­ers arrived at the scene and located a 41-year-old female dr­iver from Cardigan, PEI who was arrested at the scene. She was taken to Bridgewa­ter Detachment and given a breath test. Her blood alcohol co­ntent was twice the legal limit.

She is facing charges of Care and Control while Impaired, Ca­re and Control with a Blood Alcohol Cont­ent over 80mg%, and Possession of Cannab­is Marijuana. She is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Prov­incial Court on June 14 at 9:30 a.m.
