RCMP #CopCallsNS to Live Tweet Tonight

Tonight, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., go behind-the-scenes at an RCMP Operational Communications Centre, where 911 Operators respond to calls for help from across Nova Scotia.

Follow @RCMPNS and the hashtag #CopCallsNS on Twitter, as we live tweet a sampling of incoming calls, share tips on how to best use 911 services and provide insight into the important role 911 operators play in emergency response.

To protect privacy, actual 911 calls will be kept private and personal information will not be tweeted. An example of the type of tweet you might see is, ‘Report of a break-in in Bible Hill.’

Catch a glimpse of the types of emergencies RCMP members respond to and learn how police and 911 operators work together to protect Nova Scotians. Come with your questions and expect some surprises, as every shift is different.
