Colchester RCMP have responded to a collision involving three motorcycles and one automobile on Pleasant Valley Road, near Brookfield in Colchester County.

Preliminary investigation indicates that at 2:40 p.m.

, an automobile attempted to make a turn off Pleasant Valley Road when an oncoming motorcycle collided with the vehicle. As a result, two additional motorcycles following behind also collided with the vehicle.

EHS transported the motorcycle riders to hospital. All three have injuries, two considered serious and one minor. The adult female driver of the automobile was not injured.

The road was closed for approximately one hour and has since reopened..

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
