At approximately 5:10 p.m. this evening, Halifax District RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in East Preston, where a dump truck became submerge in the Partridge River.
The fire department was able to remove the 64 year old male driver from the vehicle. The male was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
RCMP Collision Analyst has been called in to assist with the investigation.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
