RCMP investigate fatal collision involving pedestrian at a worksite

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian at a worksite.

Just after 3 p.m. Thursday, RCMP, EHS and Halifax Regional Fire Emergency, responded to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian at a construction zone along St. Margaret’s Bay Rd. in Queensland. As a result of the collision, a 62-year-old man from Dartmouth was pronounced dead at the scene.

An RCMP collision analyst attended the scene to collect evidence resulting in the road being closed for several hours. The investigation is continuing. The Nova Scotia Department of Labour will also be conducting an investigation in relation to this collision.
