RCMP investigate fatal motor vehicle collision, Halifax, N.S.

RCMP are on scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 107. At 8:03 p.m. , RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision east of Exit 18 on Highway 107 near Lake Echo.

At 8:03 p.m. , RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision east of Exit 18 on Highway 107 near Lake Echo.

Two cars collided head on which resulted in one of the vehicles becoming engulfed in flames. A male passenger, in his 20s, died at the scene. The female driver of the car was treated by EHS for minor injuries. The male driver of the second vehicle was not seriously injured. As a result of this collision, the highway is closed between Exits 17 and 18 until further notice. A RCMP Traffic Analyst and the Medical Examiner’s Office have been called in to assist investigators.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
