RCMP investigate male missing in water, Kings County, N.S.

RCMP are looking for a male after he went into the water near the Lumsden Dam. At 4:55 p.m., RCMP received a call that an 18-year-old had jumped off a bridge into the water off the Black River Road.

At 4:55 p.m., RCMP received a call that an 18-year-old had jumped off a bridge into the water off the Black River Road.

He was last seen going into the water and came up to the surface, but went under again and did not surface. Local fire rescue teams and the RCMP are searching for the male. A Ground Search and Rescue team will be doing a shoreline search and the RCMP has requested the services of its URT (Underwater Recovery Team).

The matter remains under investigation.
