RCMP investigate shots fired, Stewiacke, N.S.

Colchester District RCMP are investigating after shots were fired last evening.

On Thursday, November 13th at approximately 11:30 p.m. Colchester District RCMP members responded to a report of shots being fired on RJ Bates Rd in Stewiacke.

The investigation determined that a dispute had occurred between a man and woman. Preliminary information gathered determined the woman fired shots at the man. As he was attempting to leave the property in a vehicle further shots were fired towards him. The man escaped without injury. The man and women are known to each other.

Officers responded quickly to the area and arrested the 36-year-old woman without incident. She is currently in police custody. Charges are anticipated and the investigation is ongoing.
