RCMP investigate arson in Nictaux.

On May 31st at approximatley 8:32 p.m., Annapolis RCMP members attended a residence on Old Runway Drive in response to a threats complaint.

When Police arrived at the residence, they found black smoke billowing out of the home. Nictaux Fire Department arrived shortly afterwards. The fire was quickly extinguished and the residence sustained considerable smoke and fire damage. There were no injuries.

At 10:05 p.m., an Annapolis County adult male was arrested without incident at a residence in the Middleton area. The male was taken to cells for questioning. The Provincial Fire Marshall’s office is assisting with the fire investigation. The matter remains under investigation.
