RCMP investigates fatal collision in Coldstream

At 3 a.m. Colchester District RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash on the Coldstream Rd.

A Honda Accord with three passengers left the road, rolled and crashed into a culvert. The two passengers that were in the rear of the vehicle were ejected.

The driver, an 18-year-old man from Brookfield, was transported to Colchester Hospital and later transported to the QEII hospital in Halifax with life-threatening injuries.

Two passengers, a 20-year-old man from Stewiacke, and an 18-year-man from Brookfield, were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

A third passenger in the vehicle, a 19-year-old man from Coldstream, died at the scene.

An RCMP collision analyst is on scene. The Coldstream Rd. is closed in the civic address range of 1000-1050.  This portion of Coldstream Rd. is expected to be closed for most of the day.  RCMP ask motorists to take alternate routes while the investigation continues.
