RCMP investigates stabbing in Lower Sackville
Halifax District RCMP is investigating a complaint of a stabbing at approximately 1:15 this morning in the 400 block of Sackville Dr.
It was reported that a 39-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when a suspect walked up to the victim and stabbed him several times. It is not known what kind of weapon was used. The suspect then walked away and was last seen on Sackville Dr. walking towards Downsview Mall.
The parties are not known to one another. The suspect is described as a black man wearing dark clothing, approximately 5-foot-10 and 30 years old, with cornrows pulled back into a ponytail.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A K-9 Unit from the Halifax Regional Policeattended but the suspect was not located.
The investigation is ongoing.
